From your first note to your first story
Start small. Keep your work connected, recoverable and under your control.
Write your first note
- Create an account and choose a goal in the welcome dialog, or try the shared demo without signing up.
- Open Notes and choose New page in the sidebar. Click the title and start writing below it.
- Type / on an empty line to insert a block. Use the block handle to move it. Watch the save indicator before closing the page.
Connect and organize
- Create child pages to group related work. Add favorites for the pages you revisit often.
- Use page links to connect ideas. Databases organize records with fields and different views.
- Open Calendar to see plans alongside your work. Check your calendar's time zone before creating recurring events.
Share deliberately
- Open sharing settings on a page. Invite collaborators and choose whether they can view or edit.
- Public access and search indexing are separate settings. Enable indexing only for content you want search engines to discover.
- Your private notes stay private. Blog drafts become public only when you publish them.
Bring your existing work
- Open workspace settings and choose Backup and migration to import a workspace ZIP.
- The editor also accepts Markdown, text, HTML, CSV, DOCX and PDF files. Import a small sample first.
- Review the import result, especially internal links, attachments and database fields. Keep the original export until you have checked the imported documents.
Recover unsaved changes
- When offline editing is enabled for your account, drafts are kept in this browser, separately for each account.
- Open the offline recovery center to review pending changes. Retry a save when the server version still matches, or open the document to resolve a conflict.
- Do not clear browser data or discard a draft until you have recovered it. Signing out and clearing a shared device removes local recovery data.
Publish your ideas
- Open Blog Studio and create a blog. Prepare a draft and preview how readers will see it.
- Review the title, description, public visibility and search settings before publishing.
- Share your published link. You can keep source notes private while choosing which writing to publish.
